Job Description
Peter Pan Seafood Company (Peter Pan) is looking to fill 200 Seafood Processor positions at its plant in King Cove. These are temporary, full-time positions for employment from 9/1/2021 to 10/30/2021. Peter Pan Seafood Company is located at 500 Cannery Row, King Cove, Alaska 99612.

Job Duties : Job duties include processing seafood, working on hand butcher line, using hands and hand tools to perform routine cutting and trimming. Washing, sizing and grading the seafood and load the processed seafood onto freezer baskets or into cartons for shipping. 40 hours a week at $12.36/hr. OT is available for working greater than 8 hours in any given day, or 40 hours in a given week at a rate of $18.54. Monday- Sunday, 6:00am 12:00am (daily/shift schedule vary).

Job Requirements : No minimum education, training, or experience required. A pre-employment drug test will be required.

Transportation : If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $13.17 per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 per day with receipts. The employer will provide transportation to and from worksites at no cost to workers.

Tools, supplies and equipment: Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

Housing: Optional Employer housing is available at no cost to the worker.

Other Employment Guarantees: A single workweek will be used for computing wages due and workers will be paid every 2 weeks. The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will not make any deductions, which are not required by law. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees), incurred by the H-2B worker.
